Sue Lacy, President

Sue has worked over the last 30 years to bring residents, companies, community leaders and policy-makers together to inform decision-making to build organizations and communities across the county. She has designed and facilitated large-scale public meetings, strategic planning projects, anti-racism and culture-change initiatives, and community-based action. Sue's work helped to inform the rebuilding of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, the redesign of Cleveland schools and numerous other community-building efforts. Her involvement with ConxusNEO began in 2015 with her support of the late County Executive Russ Pry’s efforts to build a more demand-driven talent system. Serving as the Fund for Our Economic Future’s Akron Manager for Growth & Opportunity, she was inspired to get even more involved and accepted the leadership position here at ConxusNEO. Previously, she co-founded Round River Consulting.

MICHELLE-1

Michelle Cassetty Collins, Vice President

Michelle Cassetty Collins brings 20 years of leadership experience in higher education (Northeast Ohio Medical University/NEOMED and The University of Akron) where she led initiatives related to the recruitment and retention of students by strategically aligning resources to support the universities' visions for college enrollment. Her experience working with academic programs in a consortia is foundational to the value she places on collaboration to reach shared outcomes.  Her experience helping students pursue pathways leading to gainful employment are transferable to her role at ConxusNEO where she leads initiatives that focus on jobseekers pursuing high demand occupations. Her personal life reflects her commitment to improving the welfare of the community as she is actively involved in ministries to support the underserved. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Bible from Kentucky Christian College, a Master of Science in Higher Education degree from The University of Akron and completed doctoral coursework in sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and history to examine the inequalities in education (Cultural Foundations) at Kent State University.

Andi Lamphier, Operations Coordinator

Andi has 12 years of experience in marketing and administration 8 of those years being at non-profit organizations. During that time, she learned many tricks of the trade and branched out into the areas of event planning and graphic design. She is a team player and is always happy to jump into action to make things happen and back up her co-workers.  In May 2016, she joined ConxusNEO as our Operations Coordinator.  In this position Andi’s project management and coordination skills truly shine in her work managing operation at the OhioMeansJobs Center.  Her attention to detail and swift response is a great asset and helps keep us on track and ready for anything.

Jenny Stupica 

Jenny Stupica, Director of Manufacturing Engagemnet

Jenny Stupica has over 10 years Human Resources experience in manufacturing.  She has earned multiple HR certifications, is an active member of the Akron SHRM chapter, and has served as a board member for Kent State’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development, Tri-C’s Manufacturing Technology Program, ConxusNEO and the Summit Medina Workforce Development Board. 

Jenny has been involved in workforce issues in the manufacturing industry for a number of years and was Chair of the ConxusNEO Manufacturing Network until joining the ConxusNEO staff in July 2017.  Jenny has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Crain’s, Smart Business and other print publications regarding the importance of manufacturing and its career opportunities.  Last year, Jenny was a guest on NPR’s Diane Rehm show to discuss the aging workforce and share some unique approaches to retaining talent and experience.

Kimberly A. Beyer, Ed.D., Career Navigator

Dr. Kimberly Beyer has over 30 years of experience in higher education from The University of Akron and Ball State University,  working with thousands of college students in helping them be successful both inside and  outside of the classroom.  During her career she served in several administrative and leadership roles in Career Services, Academic Advising,  and the Vice President’s office in Student Affairs, as well as serving as a Senior Lecturer teaching higher education administration, career planning, and student success courses.  As the Career Navigator, Kim assists jobseekers at to help them interpret the meaning of their WorkKeys scores and how to best share their skills with companies during an interview.  She informs jobseekers about employment and training opportunities that use WorkKeys scores.  Kim is passionate about working with individuals to develop a career strategy and find what career best suits their talents, and what skills and training they need for their chosen career.  Dr. Beyer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Doctor of Education in Administration in Higher Education all at The University of Akron.
